Privacy policy
Last updated: 2026-11-03
Daily Quests is a free set of daily games. We collect as little as we can: you can play without an account, and then we never know your name or email. Signing in with Google is optional. This page explains what is stored, where and why.
What stays on your device
Your game is saved in your browser's local storage: today's and yesterday's guesses and Hive words, the language, sound and share settings, whether you've seen "How to play", when the themed word was unlocked, which results were already sent, and your answer to the cookie banner.
We don't read this storage from our servers. It is needed for the game to work, so it doesn't need consent. To erase it, clear this site's data in your browser.
What our servers receive
Each guess or Hive word, so we can check it, and the day and game it belongs to. They aren't saved.
When you finish a word, how it ended (the number of tries, or failed). It only adds 1 to a shared counter: nothing links it to you.
Your IP address, held in memory for a minute to stop floods of requests. We don't store it. Our hosting provider (Railway) may keep short technical logs, such as IP address, time and page, for security and to fix errors.
We don't use analytics or tracking tools of our own.
If you sign in with Google
Signing in is optional. When you do, Google sends us your name, email address and profile photo, and an id for your Google account.
We store your email, your name, that account id and your game progress per day (the guesses, words and steps of each game, and whether you finished and won it). We never receive your Google password, and we don't keep any Google tokens. Your photo is only shown in the header, loaded from Google; our servers don't store it.
We use this only to keep your progress in sync across your devices and to show your streaks and stats. A cookie keeps you signed in on this browser, and the browser notes that its progress was copied into your account.
You can sign out at any time. "Delete my account", in the menu under your photo, erases your account and all the progress saved in it right away. The progress kept in your browser stays until you clear it.
Signing in with Google is also governed by Google's privacy policy.
Ads and cookies
Ads pay for the game. They are served by Google (AdSense for the side banners and Ad Manager for the themed word's video), which can use cookies and similar technologies on your device.
If you accept on the banner, Google may use them to personalize ads to your interests. If you reject, or haven't answered yet, ads aren't personalized; Google may still use cookies for limited purposes where the law allows it, such as counting ads, limiting how often you see one, and stopping fraud.
You can change your answer at any time with "Cookie settings" at the bottom of the game. Visitors in the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland may see Google's own consent message instead of ours.
Legal bases
Personalized ads: your consent (LGPD art. 7, I; GDPR art. 6(1)(a)), which you can withdraw at any time.
Running the game, its security and the request limits: our legitimate interest in offering a working, safe game (LGPD art. 7, IX; GDPR art. 6(1)(f)).
Your account, if you sign in: performing the service you asked for, syncing your progress and showing your stats (LGPD art. 7, V; GDPR art. 6(1)(b)).
Sharing and transfers
We don't sell your data. The only providers involved are Railway (hosting) and Google (ads and the optional sign-in). Both may process data in the United States and other countries, under their own safeguards for international transfers.
Your rights
Under LGPD and GDPR you can ask to access, correct or delete your data, object to its use, and withdraw consent. Without an account we keep no profile of you: most of what exists is on your own device, and you can delete it yourself. With an account, "Delete my account" erases it and its progress at once.
You can also complain to a data protection authority: the ANPD in Brazil, or the authority in your country in Europe.
Children
Daily Quests isn't aimed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their data.
Changes
If this policy changes, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
